Thank you for your interest in First Tee – Indiana in Columbus. In 2016, we established a successful partnership with the Columbus Parks Department, which gave us a home base at the Rocky Ford Par 3 Golf Course. With help from the Parks Department and NSP teachers, we doubled our summer Certifying Program participants and expanded our reach in Columbus. This year’s eight-week classes will be led by PGA professional Keith VanDeventer and our certified assistant volunteer coaches.

Since 2013, the AJGA has hosted a junior tournament at Otter Creek Golf Course in Columbus. The AJGA tournament committee selected the Columbus First Tee location as a beneficiary of this event and have donated more than $40,000 to First Tee – Indiana in Columbus. Find out more information about what we are doing in your community on our Facebook Page.

We rely heavily on the help of volunteers to run our programs. While many opportunities relate to golf, most locations have the need for support off the course as well. Some of the volunteer opportunities at locations include special events, mentoring, coaching, and in-school programming. As a volunteer, you will be looked upon as a model of First Tee’s Nine Core Values: Honesty, Integrity, Perseverance, Judgment, Responsibility, Respect, Courtesy, Confidence, and Sportsmanship.  In addition, you will be identified as a trustworthy, caring adult.
